DIY Dollar Store Mini Halloween Wreath

Today I want to share with you my very easy Dollar Store Mini Halloween Wreath. The reason I call it mini, is because mommy and I purchased a very small foam wreath form, but I love it.

I get excited over Halloween. I get to dress up and pretend to be whoever I want to be. This year I am going to be Belle from Beauty and the Beast, and I can't wait to do so at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World. That's right, my mom and I will be spending Halloween at Disney and I can't wait to get there. Mommy generally doesn't like pulling me out of school, but this is going to be a special event for me since I've never done Halloween at Disney before. I will be sure to share photos with you on my Instagram page, be sure to follow along. Anyway, let's talk about this Halloween wreath. Mommy and I went to the dollar store to pick up a few Halloween items and decided to use them for crafts. While mommy did a Witch Wreath, I decided to do something on a small scale. My Mini Halloween Wreath cost $3 and is perfect for little hands. Here's how it's done.

Kid Friendly Glitter Slime (Borax Free)

With a little help your kids can have some glitter slime that they'll enjoy playing with.

It feels good to be back although I can't entirely say for how long. I have started Kindergarten and that means that I am super busy. Can you believe that I already have homework? I had no idea that I would have received homework on my first week in Kindergarten. While it isn't a lot of homework, it's still homework. However, in order to keep me balanced, mommy decided that she was going to help me make something that I've always wanted to. I wanted to make my own glitter slime, but mommy was never a fan of the slime recipes that she's seen online. See, she has always had the idea that borax wasn't that good for you, but she finally found a recipe that works. It was on the package of our Elmers Glue and that's what I'm sharing with you today, because it actually works great!

Disney Tsum Tsum Subscription - July 2017

Disney Tsum Tsum Subscription - July 2017.

For the past six months mommy has been investing in the Disney's Tsum Tsum subscription for me. The subscription is $24.95 and is shipped monthly. Each month is a surprise and you never know what you'll get in each package. You can either get a 3-piece mini set from a movie moment, one small plush and a coordinating mini plush or even a 6-piece micro set. So far I've gotten the movie set and the one small and coordinating mini, but haven't received the 6-piece micro set as yet. I've decided that I'll start sharing my subscription with you and if you love collecting Tsum Tsum's like I do, you might want to start investing in a subscription yourself too.

LEGOLAND® Beach Retreat Florida - #BuiltForKids

Welcome to LEGOLAND® Beach Retreat in sunny Florida!

My family and I spent 2 amazing days at the LEGOLAND Beach Retreat, the perfect place for kids. I have spent many nights in many hotels, but this one takes the cake. I mean, come on! I love Lego's, who doesn't, well besides adults who hate stepping on them. However, getting to spend the night in a Lego bungalow was amazing. We didn't get there at the optimal time since it was raining on/off while on our vacation but it was still great! So what can parents and kids expect at the LEGOLAND Beach Retreat?

While most people love Magic Kingdom, I am in love with Disney's Hollywood Studios. It's where I can get my Star Wars fix on. There has always been 3 parks that just steals my heart. Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom (my favorite) and Disney's Hollywood Studios. If you are planning on visiting Walt Disney World in the near future, I have some tips for you for while visiting Hollywood Studios and any Disney park.

My Kicks: A Sneaker Story - by Susan Verde

Last week was supposed to be an entire week of books, however, we missed Friday's book. I didn't want to disappoint you, so instead I'm here to share it with you today. Have you ever had that pair of shoes that you didn't want to get rid of. I know I had a few favorite pairs that mommy decided was time to go, but I didn't want to see them go. Today's book explores the love and pride that kids have for their sneakers and the joy that can be found in growing up, growing out, and moving on. It's my pleasure to introduce to you:

Tinyville Town: I'm a Librarian - by Brian Biggs

Do you love visiting your local library? I know I do. It's the one place that I can go and read all the books I want. My local library allows you to enroll your children as early as newborn into the library system. After all, one of the best ways to teach language to a child is by reading to them. However, do you know the job of a librarian? Today's book teaches you all about them in:

It's day three of our book reviews. I did tell you that this was going to be an exciting week. A week filled with books and more books. If you have a budding inventor on your hands then today's book is the perfect book for you. This book is filled with lots of activities and is the perfect STEM activity book. Today I present:

The Fix It Man - by Dimity Powell

While I don't remember my grandmother as well as I would like, I do have photos of her. There are a few memories there and I can pick her out from a photo. I was a little too young to truly understand what it meant when she passed away. I just knew that I was never going to see her again. Today's book is a great way to introduce children to loss and one that I love. Here is today's book:

Today I Feel... An Alphabet of Feelings - by Madalena Moniz

This week is going to be a fun week because I will be sharing with you one book, each and every day. As a pre-schooler I'm all about feelings. I know how to show them and I also know how to keep them inside.  Sometimes they may even come out without me even wanting them to. That's why today's book means so much to me. It's not just about feelings but learning the alphabet, so it's a two in one winner. Today's book is:

Today I Feel... An Alphabet of Feelings - Written and Illustrated by Madalena Moniz

6 Fun Facts About New York City

New York City, the city that never sleeps. One of my mom's favorite songs has always been New York, New York by Frank Sinatra. Having spent most of her life in Brooklyn, New York, it's considered her second home. My brothers and sister grew up there while I was born in Colorado. I still however have lots of family there, grandparents, aunts, uncles and many, many cousins, and I visit regularly. The words of Frank Sinatra still ring true, if you can make it here you can make it anywhere!

The Lorax Truffula Trees

Today is Dr. Seuss Day and in honor of his big day I wanted to share with you a super simple easy craft, The Lorax Truffula Trees. Mommy and I love reading Dr. Seuss books and Mommy did a post a few years ago where she explained Why Your Children Should Read Dr. Seuss Books. One of my favorite movie from Dr. Seuss has been The Lorax but I have seen quite a few other movies, including Cat in the Hat, Horton Hears a Who and The Grinch. However, I love the story behind the Lorax so without further ado, here are my truffula trees.

Born In China in Theaters 21 April 2017

A few weeks ago my mother was invited to the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration (DisneySMMC) Land and Sea event which I happened to attend with her. One of the highlights of that event was being able to see a preview of the movie Disney Nature's Born in China. While Born in China will be in theaters 21 April 2017, I have to say that it is a must see, because I even want to see it again.

Cars 3 Coming to Theaters 16 June 2017

I remembered when I first saw the Cars movie. I was immediately taken with Lightening McQueen and the entire story. One of my favorite song is still "Life is a Highway" and whenever my family and I go on our summer road trips, I can't reminisce about the movie. It's like we're going on our own journey right along with the characters. I have to admit that Mater is still my favorite with Lightening McQueen coming in a very close second. So imagine how excited I was when I found out that Cars 3 is coming to theaters on the 16th of June 2017. I'll be going to the movies to see them, will you?

The Road Home - by Katie Cotton

This post was originally scheduled to go live yesterday since I've decided that every Thursday, I will be taking the time to share a new book that was sent to me. However due to mommy's schedule she couldn't write it for me so I had to wait until today. That's what happens when you can't write for yourself. You have to wait for someone to do it for you on their own time. You may remember I started my book journey last week when we shared about Benji, the dog who would eat everything. Today's book however is:

Beauty and the Beast Coloring Sheets

Are you excited to see Beauty and the Beast in theaters March 17th? I have watched the animated version with my mom many times and I am really looking forward to the live version, just as I'm sure most of you are. Now while I still think of Emma Watson as Hermione from Harry Potter, she takes on the role of Belle flawlessly and from the sneak peeks that I have gotten from the trailers, she is amazing! This is one movie that you just can't miss.

Our Dog Benji - by Pete Carter

I want to take one day a week to focus on a book that I've read. I get sent books through the mail and while it's been helping with my vocabulary and library, I want to also share them with you. After all why should I keep them all to myself? Today's book that I want to share is:

Our Dog Benji - Written by Pete Carter & Illustrated by James Henderson

Tooth Fairy Ideas Your Kids Will Love

I lost my first tooth at only 4 years of age. At the time mommy was very concerned that losing a tooth that young meant something might be wrong. What she didn't know but later found out, was that losing a tooth at age 4 was very normal and not anything to worry about, it seems like the earlier you get your baby teeth, the more likely you would lose them early as well. While I wasn't too thrilled to be losing a tooth, I was super excited at what the tooth fairy was going to bring me. So what do you do and how do you make your little one losing her first tooth extra special? I share with you 5 ways you can celebrate the loss of a tooth with your own tooth fairy.

That Day I Totally Felt Like A Princess

As you may know, I'm currently at Walt Disney World, but what you may not know is that I'm celebrating my 5th birthday. I'm also celebrating the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration with my mom who was invited. While my mom gets to go off to conferences to learn what's new and in store for Disney, I get to relax and enjoy the parks and everything they have to offer currently. However, I wanted to share about the day that I came here. We're currently staying at the Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and mommy surprised me with something amazing for my birthday.

Madison's Pre-Schooler's Guide to Flying

I have to say that I think that I'm experienced enough to give you a few tips about flying. I have been flying since the tender age of 2 months old, and since then I have flown every year. Sometimes even two or three times a year. My moms favorite quote is actually:

Travel is the only thing that you buy that makes you rich.

Not rich in the sense of money, but rich in the sense of experience. I have experienced quite a lot in the 5 years I have been on this earth. Maybe not as much as most of you reading my blog today, but maybe when it comes to travel, a little more than some.

I'm on my way to Walt Disney World (Again)

Hi, it's me Madison and you can find me now on my very own domain. Today is a very special day. Today I'm going on another trip to Walt Disney World, but what makes it even more special, is that I will also be doing a Disney Cruise. I have never done a Disney Cruise or any cruise for that matter, so I can't wait to share my experience with you. I'm just hoping that I don't get sick on the ship, but mommy has reassured me that she has me covered.
