Cruising Norwegian: What I Loved - A Kids Perspective ~ #CruiseNorwegian 🛳️

A month ago, my parents and siblings along with myself embarked on a Western Caribbean Cruise onboard the Norwegian Getaway. While my mom has shared her reasons why we chose Norwegian for our family cruise, I want to tell you more about the cruise line from a kids perspective.

When you're a child, you don't worry about the things that grownups do. You don't worry about the internet, how loud the people in the cabin next door can get or "what are we going to do all day for our day at sea?", Because guess what? When you're onboard Norwegian, you don't let anything bother you because you're on vacation!

So what did I like about Norwegian? I'm going to transcribe to my mom, and she's going to write it all down for me, but in a way that you can understand.

1. Splash Academy!

This is where all the kids go to have fun, no parents allowed. We are separated into age groups, so I got to meet a lot of children who were my age and made quite a few friends, and I also got to play a lot of games. My parents would drop me off in the morning and pick me up at night, and there were times I didn't want to leave because it was so much fun.

2. The food!!

The food is really really good. Not only do they have food for the adults, but there's a kids section as well, where all the good stuff is. I'm talking about decorated cupcakes, cookies, and all the ice cream you can eat. Sure they have healthy foods to eat too, but who wants to eat healthy when you're on vacation?

3. The kid pool.

I also made quite a few friends at the pool. Sure I may never see them again, but they were my friends while I was on the ship. The pool was just the right size for my friends and me, so we didn't have to worry about not being able to swim. It was amazing!

4. The arcade!

I get to play all the games I want while onboard the ship. Sure my parents gave me a limit, but that doesn't mean that the fun has to stop.

5.  Mini-golf.

I have never played so many rounds of mini-golf before, but since this was free, I got my parents to take me there quite a bit while cruising. It was a blast, and I even beat my dad in one of my games.

6. My room!

You don't see it in this photo, but my room had a bunk bed, and since I've never slept in a bunk bed before, this was a treat for me. My bunk bed actually falls down from the ceiling!! Guess what? You can jump on the beds while on a cruise, something that I can't do at home. My siblings and I had our own cabin, while my parents had their cabin next door so we would meet on the balcony and chat.

7. Seeing new places.

For this cruise, we visited Honduras, Belize, Costa Maya Mexico, and Cozumel Mexico, and I loved doing the tours and kayaking on the islands. It's something that I might never have done if I had stayed at home.

I'm sure there are other things that I loved about our cruise onboard the Norwegian Cruise Line, but that's all I can remember for now. However, my mom reminded me that the crew was really friendly and always had a smile for me, and would wish me good morning, good afternoon, or good night.

I really enjoyed our cruise on the Norwegian Getaway and can't wait to go back. I'm trying to get my parents to go again next year. Fingers crossed!
